About me
Who i am & what i do
education & certifications
I hold a BA from Tulane University in psychology, a MA from New York University in applied psychology with a specialization in counseling and guidance—I am a certified integrative trauma coach and a certified school counselor.
what i believe & practice
I believe difficulties we face are opportunities for growth and feelings of worry can be used as guidance as to what we need to devote time and energy toward overcoming. I believe we all have the ability to find forgiveness and respect for the past, peace and joy in the present, and excitement and optimism for the future.
There is a deep connection between the mind and the body but many times, the link between the two is so entangled and tools we can readily use to support and heal ourselves become lost. Using mindfulness and somatic-informed guidance, we will untangle the mind-body connection, develop healthy mindsets, learn the value of being “in our body,” and physically release stress and tension while developing emotional resilience.
Are we a fit?
If you imagine your life as a timeline, with many, many plots along the way starting from early childhood, through adolescence, early adulthood, and then stop at the point you are today, this moment is where we will do most of our work together. Unlike traditional talk therapy, our goal is not to go back and work though past experiences, traumas, mindsets, or patterns. While we will touch on how you have come to this point in time and what we will be focusing on, our goal is to address this moment and to make changes today, so you have the tools to move into a better tomorrow.

How i support your journey
This is a partnership. We will work together to develop strategies and tools specific to you and the path you are currently walking. My role is to guide and support, create a safe space, and provide ways for you to develop healthy and productive mindsets while letting go of stress and tension being held in your body. Your role is to be open to and allow the process, be communicative with me about what is most and least helpful so we can develop the best possible program for you, and to intentionally carry over what we practice in our sessions to your day-to-day life.
